Reactions from Our Community

If there’s anything better than knitting or crocheting, it’s doing it for a good cause!

With millions of lives impacted by devastation and disaster around the world, we are determined to contribute to the relief effort and provide support and comfort wherever possible. Which is why, for the whole of September we will be donating 100% of our US profits to the Houston Food Bank toward the Hurricane Irma disaster relief, and 100% of UK profits to Save the Children to help those in India, Pakistan, and Nepal affected by the floods.

We’ve been touched to hear from so many of our customers who have been personally impacted by recent events and how already your contributions have brought hope and encouragement to so many.

“As a Texan who LOVES your company, I am SO blessed by this generous gesture of support and charity. I will spread the word. May the heart of needleworkers worldwide continue to beat in unison through the generations with the charity and generosity that caused my great grandmother to knit for our Civil War soldiers, my grandmother to knit for WW1 soldiers, my sisters and I to knit for orphans and babies in third world countries. I’d kiss you if I could. May the love of Christ kiss your heart.”

Thank you, we need the donations to save our Houstonians and Rockport, Texans. My home is in Kingwood, TX, a suburb of Houston. Our town has been so devastated with not only having 30% of our homes flooded, but we have lost 169 businesses in the Kingwood/Humble area.”

“I am a customer and a Texan. Bless you for thinking of us at this time. I am fine but my neighbors are devastated. Thank you for your kindness. It won’t be forgotten… Companies like you are kind and generous to strangers across an ocean.  And we will all be fine.  When our electricity was restored and I saw the announcement that you were donating to Houston I actually cried. Today I received an order from you. I will just keep on knitting until things get back to normal.”
-Anne F, Houston, Texas

“Thank you for your efforts. I am one of the many affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston.”

“Thank you, LoveKnitting. So generous of you. I live in Houston and your donation will be greatly appreciated by so many. You were one of the very early businesses that made an offer to help and it was so awesome.”
